The custom created type uses a very narrow shape for the counter and an angular almost triangular shape for the legs and arms.
After creating the type I started playing with animating the type and seeing what the possibilities of the created design were. As part of the brand design, I created an animation that plays with the square features of the font.
The mock-ups are mostly made by Bendito mock-ups.
I created a 3d grid that represented the building and started creating the letter-shapes that looked similar to the staircase that led to the platform/ roof. When working I decided to reference a monospace font and use some of their rules to construct my font. To create a more dynamic and architectual feeling, the capital letters ans the puntuations are created on a vertically flipped grid.
During my summer travels I photographed a lot of typography found in the street or on products. From these images I created insects that use their typefaces and
I tried to emulate the energy and layout of the typographic image.
This was an assignment given to us for Graphic Design class at LISAA Paris.
Most of my focus was directed towards the label, in which I tried to combine the classic way of winemaking with the modern twist that the owners are creating on the farm. The label consists of simplistic typography and a more loud and present illustration. The logo is handmade and representative of the personal touch they apply to farming and farming his wine in particular.
The colour were chosen to represent the land on which the wine is grown and the colour and richness of the produced wine.
The book also comes with NFC chips attached to tear able cards that are connected to a certain page but could also be played in combination with the wrong visuals and create a new collaboration between sound and visuals.
The NFC chips are scannable when you scan the NFC chip a sound plays that corelates to a certain visual.
This project started from a page of my sketchbook that was filled with different forms of the letter ‘o’. I do this quite regularly with certain letters. With my favourite editions of the ‘o’ I created a packaging that uses the bright orange colour and a typeface that lets the ‘o’s’ shine.
As an additional feature to showcase the packaging, I also created a website.
